The best way to get Solaris running: 1. Buy a SPARCstation. I got mine for $100 from a guy, 70mhz,80MB RAM, 2 HDD's, CDROM. 2. Download Solaris from www.sun.com You can run it on Intel, but I haven't tried it, and I've heard the hardware support leaves much to be desired. With a SPARC, though, you'll be guaranteed it will work, because it's a Sun OS running on Sun hardware. jason walding 08-22-2002, 09:32 PM Solaris as is implemented for intel processors did not go well for me. I had even more hardware problems than you can imagine. I would get a used sparc station off of ebay or some salvage center. justlinux.com
