Just don't ask what the best text editor is cause most of them will say Vi or Vim personally I use emacs alot. emacs is definitely a decent looking app... but i like to call my files "files" and not buffers. vi for me =) plus there's something inherently cool about running such an idiosyncratic program... isn't that why we are using linux? then again, nothing beats the simplicity of Notepad. how easier could it get? step 1. type text. step 2. save file. done! no commands to remember (esc,:wq) justlinux.com
