I'm trying to install Red Hat Linux 6.0 with Visual Black Book from Coriolis.

The book says that the CD is bootable but when I try to boot from the cd the computer just goes on to the no os found.

So I load up with a boot floppy and get to the screen to select installation media (mainly Local CD-ROM Drive) however when I select it the screen say's intializing CD-ROM Drive then goes blue and never changes.

How do I get this CD-ROM Drive to read the CD?

Thx,

Will it read other bootable CD's?

Yes it will read other bootable CD's, I've been able to install Mandrake 7.2 and Slackware 8.0 on it.

The cdrom disk may be no good. If it came with the book, a lot of these disks didn't work. If it's possible, try to install it on another computer.

That's a negative on being able to install it on another computer. I've e-mailed Coriolis techsupport about it. I hope they can give me an Answer or provide a new CD or at least the iso of the CD so that I can burn one myself.

Thx for all your help ppl,
