Hi I have just started to use mandrake 8.2 and I have 2 questions I was hoping someone could help me with. The first one deals with being able to access my cd rom. When I click on the icon it tells me I don't have access rights to this location. I am pretty sure the drive is mounted, so I really have no clue. The second question is I have been unable to install the flash plugin. I have unpacked the file, but the read me procedure doesn't seem to be working with mozilla. If someone could send me the steps to finish this it would be much appreciated. thanks

Flashplayer: the files libflashplayer.so, and ShockwaveFlash.class move them to the Moz plug-in directory and go..........

Well I've just spent most of the day searching and trying to figure this out. My assumption right now is that because during my install I also installed samba and because of that it has made the cd rom only available to the root user. Just telling someone to search out the answer is pretty lame when I am sure the solution here is basic.

Actually the question on clicking the desktop icon has been asked and answered at least once during the past 24 hours. The exact same question.
