I did a small search on the matter, and it seems there's no such thing as a program that allows one to edit/create themes easily.. you always just go to the style file and edit it by text. I know... maybe it isn't that difficult to do, but it would speed things up if you could at least have a way to pick colors quickly instead of going to the Gimp and keep writing down the Hex code of the colors... it's strange, I thought Fluxbox is pretty popular, one would think that there would be an app out there to help make themes... oh well, I guess it'll just take more time. By the way, themes don't specify 'colors' for the inside of programs, does it? All the 'bars' (toolbars, commands) of Mozilla keep a 'gray' color.. any idea of where I should change that?

Try typing gnomecc in an xterm. There is an area to change the theme of some of your programs.

Theme's aren't usually too difficult to create. Yes, they may take time...but all good things do :) If you really want an easier way, make an editor :) Simplest way would be a perl program or something.

As for changing the colors of all your programs...this would be nearly impossible with all the different type of...uhh...window thingies (technical term...sorry :))...Some you can change like gnome as hop-frog said. Others may not be as easily changed.

EDE will automatically match the colors in FLTK, GTK, and QT applications for you. You still have to match the theme. I wish more wms would have the feature.

Hmm.. this could prove more difficult than I originally thought. It's funny how some programs retained the color they had under kde (like Konsole), while most of the other just use the default gray color... mainly I mean Gimp, Mozilla and Evolution, and all these seem to run under KDE more than under Gnome. I did looked in the KDE configs... but the only color stuff I could find was 'select the theme', not exactly what I want. Maybe I'll just have to settle for a theme that matches this dull gray color... I have to find an alternate way.. I've always hated the dull default gray color (not because it reminds me off windows... I never used the normal window's color scheme either). Oh well, there are more important things I have to deal with, I believe.

You can use bbconfig to create themes for fluxbox. I tried it out & it worked like a charm!

if u want to theme the KDE apps and the GNOME apps (like Gimp) then log in under GNOME and KDE and modify their themes.

then when you go back into Fluxbox the GNOME and KDE apps will match.

I think I understand now. I don't really have 'gnome' installed... or do I? I know that I have the gnome libraries (which were needed by some programs) and that from Evolution I can run the Gnome Control Panel. So... this explains why 'some' programs appear in their normal gray color. The theme selector for the Control panel only has one theme: the default. I'd like making my own themes or adding some to it... but that Control Center doesn't seems to include what it takes to make my own theme.
Oh well... I think somewhere around in these forums people posted places where I could get some themes... I'll have to go take a look around.
