I don't really have a problem as such, I just would like to know if this is possible. I am running Mandrake 7.2, with no problems, runs like a dream on my little Aptiva machine..Anyway....I would like to record all my old LP's and burn them to CD's....I can't seem to find anything that would allow me to record from the sound input.....Any suggestions would be appreciated....

Ummm... there are no simple GUI sound recorder programs included in LM7.2 that are equivalent to the sound recorder in windows. There are command line tools that do it. There are numerous ones you can download also. Try freshmeat http://freshmeat.net to look for some programs. I think there is a ksoundrecord but I'm not sure it works with kde2.

Thanks for the info, I probably have the Ksoundrecord on the 7.0 CD as it came with Mandrake 7.0....I will try and install it and see if it works with kde 2.01, I will let you know......

Thanks again.......
