how i can use winamp preset in xmms?
how i can delete gnome form linux.
i use redhat 7.0 and i install kde and gnome
i try this :
rpm -qa | grep - i gnome |xargs rpm -e
but error because there are any library used by another application

You can use winamp's skins with xmms but not plugins, if that was what you were refering to.
To get rid of gnome, you may have to use the --force or --nodeps flags when doing the rpm -e. Before doing so you might want to check out its dependencies before nuking it.

no no...presets arent plugins...and yes you can use the same presets. THere is an option to import them in xmms itself.

and why do you want to delete gnome, no HD space? well cant help you there anyway :rolleyes:

Well (barring the fact I never looked) I always assumed that import option was only available to those people who had Windows on their computer, could save a preset, and then load it up in XMMS. Maybe there are presets downloadable online.

(BTW - If any XMMS coder is reading this - don't make XMMS like Winamp3. It sucks. Keep it like Winamp2. (Although, the sound quality in Winamp3 is MUCH improved.) )
