Hi everybody,

This is my first post on this forum, but i've been hanging around in others lately asking about linux.

I havent used it yet, and dont think it will be as bad as many people say, usually i learn from both books and trying (experience) so i'll have my first linux CDs next friday or so, then i'll try it out, also i downloaded a couple of books and i think i'll be fine.

The Major problem is that i need to know a linux Portal or a web site from which i can manage to find info on apps, drivers and anything else.

And my main problem now is that i want to know if there is a Linux program that can edit and manupilate PDF files. In Windows only Adobe Acrobat can do this and i'm happy with version 5
but what about linux?

thanks in advance.

I believe I've heard that OpenOffice and/or StarOffice can edit pdf's. Maybe the latest KOffice?

You may be able to run Acrobat through Wine.
