SuSe -- install

i've been having some trouble installing some programs on my linux box, and i was wondering if perhaps SuSe uses the RPM format instead of plain source... is this so? have i been misguided?

never mind, i got it...
SuSe can use the rpm... i finally got icq installed!!! no more windows for me!
