connecting with kppp

I finally got my modem to dial my ISP(ATT) but I get a disconnect with the message that the pppd daemon had disconnected. What am I doing wrong? I use IE5 as my browser, should I be using Netscape? or doesn't that make a difference? :D

To use ATT with kppp, you have to use your real user name and password, the ones they assign you, the same as if you were configuring a dial up connection in windows. ;)

How are you using IE5 if your in Linux?
Last time I looked M$ wasnt supportin the tux :)

1. the reason I useIE5is simple. Without MS and Win, the entire computer coverage would be restricted to programs that the average person would not, or could not handle. Take Linux for example, every day there are hundreds of questions posted to this board by folks trying to UNDERSTAND the program. Without MS, the use of computerds would be restricted to goofs like me!!! :D
