I have heard that a patch is available to provide supprt for winmodems does anyone know anything about this.

If you still have problems with the LT winmodem check out www.blast.net/tech.html (http://www.blast.net/tech.html) and click on modem support. Most of the info I wrote there is for windows but it does apply for both. The one good thing with our modems is that playing online games with these you will get better pings than a hardware modem. For your modem use the int string &fx -v90=1 The -v90 is for the v90 communication. Call you ISP to see if you have it mostly likely you will and it does make a world of a difference.
