In Mandrake 7.2, when I launch KDE Media Player, I get no desktop application, just a couple processes to kill when I run ps -aux:
kaiman --show-main-window -play
(listed twice)
I don't recall getting this app to work in previous installations either. I don't have sound problems (I'm able to run mp3, .rm, and .ra files in RealPlayer).
It seems like it's executing the app, but not the gui in X.
Any advice appreciated. In the meantime, RealPlayer works fine for me (for all I know, it may be a better media player anyhow).
