Broadcast messages...

How would I send a broadcast msg to all the screens connected to my linux box? The techs ayt work do it all the time when they ask us to log out.

I'm maybe off base, here, as I am not sure what you mean "screens connected to..." However, the normal way to do this is wall. Look at man wall, (Write ALL) is that what you are looking for?
