Im downloading the whole 8.0 directory of the Suse install to my computer. I assume that i could exclude some items from the download as long as i dont try to choose them in installation itself?
Im especially curios about the zq1 directory that contains source rpms for *everything*, and the big question is, do i need to download them??
I definetly want all the development rpms which i assume contains headers and library files, but the source rpms are only needed if you want to examine the libraries source files right? There are no dependencies based on them?

Could i also exclude the dutch/german etc versions of OpenOffice(these files are a bit large), or will the Suse installer ***** about it?

The source rpms are only required if you want to rebuild the src.rpm's yourself or install the source and make modifications.

You should be able to exclude those versions of OpenOffice without causing any problems.
