Well, my first attempt at Linux is with the Gentoo distribution. I updated KDE from 3.0 to 3.0.2. Now, when I look at my login box, I can either choose KDE 3.0.2, KDE 3.0, fluxbox, or Gnome. How can I remove KDE 3.0 from the list? If I select it to use as my window/desktop manager, it still utilizes KDE 3.0.2.

Thanks for any help! :)

try deleting /etc/X11/Sessions/kde3.0
also try http://forums.gentoo.org
Those forums will help you exponentially more than this place...

try deleting the file KDE 3.0 in /etc/X11/wmsession.d/.

Think that should remove the KDE 3.0 entry from u'r login prompt

Gentoo doesn't have a wmsession.d...
