I have a Abit IT7-Max with a RAID setup on the Highpoint 374 COntrollers.

I have tried to install with Mandrake 8.2 and it says no device to place file systems found and it's no on thier SCSI list.

I found that Highpoint has drivers on thier website for Radhat so I have redhat now. ANd I get to the point where It asks me if I have drivers on a disk I say yes and it loads some. Then a few steps later it says 'insert driver disk 1' and my disk is in and it says 'unable to find disk, not properly mounted' or something like that.

Makes me so mad I am so close and then my floppy is not mounted???

Anyone know a way around this or what I should do.

Thanx a ton.

Could it be asking for the Redhat driver disk? Have a look on the installation cd in the ??? dosutils directory for a diskette image named *driver*.

I'm getting the same problem trying to install RH7.3.
I've got two drives connected to the 374 controller, but I'm not using RAID. I've downloaded the v1.0_374_redhat.zip file from Highpoint.

The '1' in 'Driver Disk 1' is picked up from the contents of the file rhdd-6, which seems to be RedHat's way of marking a driver disk - changing the name of the file stops Redhat recognising the drivers, changing the contents changes the message (e.g. 'Please inset the HPT driver disk now').

Then it comes back with "Failed to mount driver disk: No such device".

Anybody got any suggestions?

I downloaded the drivers from highpoint and they say they are only for 7.1 and i used that and it worked.
