I recently bought a Linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL Router to take the place of my linux router on my network. I was setting it up to use DHCP to assign IP addresses to all boxes on the network. All of the windows clients were up in no time, but this RedHat box is giving me trouble. I've installed dhcpcd and when I try to run it, it just said "operation failed." and I have no clue why. The other boxes can get IP address without problems. I looked up some info on the net, but none of it has proved useful yet. I was hoping someone here might be of some help. Thanks in advance.

i have 1 of those and I jsut entered a hostname and selected dhcp and it worked. You could try setting a static ip.the box starts at 192.168.1.100(dhcp assigns) so you could assign yourself a ip# of 192.168.1.150 or something and that works fine to.
