hi im using opera 6.02 right now. my wife is always on me about playing games on yahoo with her but they use a java applet. is there any prog in linux that i can do this with? do i just have something set up wrong? cause i cant get it to work. thanks

Most distros include Java by default.
Have you checked to see if Java is installed.
If necessary, you can get Java from http://www.blackdown.org/java-linux.html

im running red hat 7.3(just until i learn enough to try it from scratch) and ive tried all the browsers that come with it and then tried opera. ive gone through prefereneces in all of them and turned on java and turned it on also in kde if i remember right( im not on my home box right now) in one of the browsers(like mozilla maybe?) it said java was on but the line where it looks for the java file was blank and im not sure where it is supposed to be located. i just have a standard installation, i havent added anything along the lines of java.

another thing i was wondering, i dont know to much about wine, can it run internet explorer? if so would it be slower or know?
