now im not sure but pcmcia is not releated to PCI right? and as far as i know i dont have any pcmcia devices if i am right is there a need for the pcmcia package or can i just go ahead and remove it from my system?

Derango 08-23-2001, 08:35 AM PCMCIA is a laptop expansion standard. Basicly thats the laptops equivilent to a PCI slot. You can get network cards (most popular PCMCIA cards in my experience ;) ), sound cards, drive interface cards... If you're not running on a laptop you can dump the pcmcia stuff...you won't need it justlinux.com
