going to my first LUG meeting tomorrow

i'm just wondering what to expect. i know they say that they'll help you get your system running, but is that ALL they do? is it the kind of thing where they all talk about linux for several hours then help the needy?

if somebody could quickly run down the typical LUG meeting, that would be great.

Maybe they set around and drink beer and talk about the fscked up Microsoft users that they support at their jobs. You always hear linux = free beer, anyway that would be fun. :D

the group I belong to (tlug) have speakers from companies,talk linux/unix,distribute cds and even install linux on peoples boxes during the meetings.They are all different,but you can atleast expect some good information and help,very few a**holes and RTFM
