"unknown terminal vt100"

I get this error message when I login as only one particular user. My $TERM variable is vt100 for all of my users, they can do things fine, no errors. Pine won't work for one user due to this, I am drawing a blank, but I know this is probably easy.

Where should I begin to look?

You'll probably need to install a new termcap database. If you're using Slackware, there's a pacakge for it in the D set; otherwise, do a search on Freshmeat.
