Hi everyone...

I have a major problem during the linux setup.... my keyboard doesn't work!!!

I start the setup and begin installing linux just fine...... but when it comes to a part where u need to enter in something..... i can't.... because my keyboard won't work.....

I'm using a Microsoft (yeah yeah i know) Internet Keyboard Pro.... and its running via USB.

I"m trying to install Mandrake 8.2.

At first i thought maybe the setup did'nt suport USB but my mouse runs just fine..... which funnily enuff..... it runs through the USB plugs at the back of my keyboard....

The keyboard has always worked fine under Windows...... hell i'm typing this message now on it.....

PLEEEZZ HELP ME!!!! :(

Cheers :D

Search through the threads on the topic. Some people have installed linux with a standard ps/2 keyboard and then switched.

There should be an option in your BIOS to treat your USB keyboard as a legacy keyboard (or something like that, the wording escapes me). That should solve your problem.

are you sure you cant configurate your keyboard setting, while running the setup?
