Hitokiri_X 07-31-2002, 02:26 PM for irc I use x-chat (http://www.xchat.org/). MartinB 07-31-2002, 02:43 PM I tend to use irssi in Linux (I'm not sure where you get it, it came with my distro), but now I mostly use mIRC running in wine which runs pretty much perfectly, since I haven't yet found an IRC client for Linux that lets me customise the fonts like mIRC does. I like XChat MUCH better than mIRC, I suggest it. irssi is great for text mode stuff though MartinB 07-31-2002, 03:23 PM Well, XChat is okay, but I couldn't find out how to change the font (I don't really like the fixed width fonts for chatting) and a background image for the chat window would also be nice too (Another thing I liked about mIRC). Also, there seems to be a strange problem where XChat just kills itself if I stretch the chat window over a certain size (About half the screen) preventing me from running it maximised... z0mbix 07-31-2002, 03:25 PM Originally posted by MartinB Well, XChat is okay, but I couldn't find out how to change the font (I don't really like the fixed width fonts for chatting) and a background image for the chat window would also be nice too (Another thing I liked about mIRC).
