The one at the top right of some windows?
I have tried playing with it but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I really don't know what you mean.
Can you explain it better?

It could be the sticky button? The one that makes it show up on every virtual desktop on your machine?
I thought that was on the left side, though. Sometimes, depending on the theme, those buttons change potitions/functions.
Let's see... the X is to close, the boxy one is to flip between "full screen" window and normal window size and the other is to minimize or "iconify" the window.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
Sorry, D.
Yeah, if it didn't seem to do anything, then it was probably the sticky button. The only other button I remember seeing in Window Managers/Themes was the context menu. It basically let you left click on it and get the same menu as a right or middle click would on the title bar. Not terribly useful and you don't see it in many themes.

Thanks all...that answers my question.
It is the sticky button. I've been wondering what that bugger was for weeks now. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

If you're using KDE, you can put any of the buttons on either side.
