Anybody know where I can download supermount and compile it for use as a module? The only downloads for supermount I can find are .diff files (kernel patches). I don't wanna have to recompile my kernel. Plus, supermount isn't shipped with my current kernel version (2.4.9). Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

From what I understand the latest kernel to work with the supermount patch is 2.4.4 (or maybe it was first broken in that version, not sure) and I have yet to see any newer patches. I was reading quite extensively about this last night, even the mandrake 8.1 beta 1 kernel is lacking supermount support.
I was finding http://groups.google.com to be the best source of info.
In case you didn't already know, supermount is not a part of the Linux kernel and never has been. Only available as a patch, or provided by distro vendors.
