i found an NHF saying that TTF's can only be used in Redhat.... is this true? i have SuSe 7.0....

also, are there any good sites that allow free download of linux fonts?

Nope, you can use TTFs in SuSE. I've been through SusE 6.1, 6.3, and currently 6.4, and xfstt works just fine with all of them to dish out the fonts.

If you run X 4.0.x you dont even need xfstt for ttf it is built in. Just move fonts to a good folder like "/usr/X11/lib/fonts/truetype and... well i guess you could read it for yourself: http://www.linux.com/tuneup/database.phtml/X11/000258.html
