Output to screen and file at the same time

Ack, sorry for the question, but I'm getting brain lock. How do you get something for output to both file and screen at the same time? Thanks all, and have a safe and happy holidays.

I'm not sure it's possible. However, something like

foo > bar.txt; cat bar.txt

could provide you with file logging immediatly followed by screen display.

It is possible. Read up on the program called tee (or is it multitee?)

It's just tee. You should have it already installed (if not, it's part of the GNU sh-utils package). So, man tee gives you some info or info tee gives you some man ... er... info.
