Hi,
During the package installation phase of the installation I get this error message:
"An error occurred nothing found while parsing /mnt/var/lib/urpmi/hdlist.disc 1 Download Edition Installation CD (x86) (cdrom1).cz"
I am using the 3 CD ISO-image set. Anyone else seen this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! TIA...

It could be a bad burn of that cd, your cdrom needs cleaning or a actual problem with the cdrom.
Did you burn the cd's yourself?

Thanks for replying to my post.
I considered that the burn is faulty, but that likelihood seems odd given that I was able to boot up just fine and begin the installation program. Also, after the initial error msg, trying to repeat the package installation process results in the popup msg "an error occurred no hdlist1.cz found" - a manual scan of the CD showed that the file is there.
It's possible the burner needs to be cleaned - I have a laser-lens cleaning CD for that purpose. Apart from that, as far as I know there isn't any problem with the burner (Plextor 16/10/40a). And yes, I burned the CDs myself, using Nero 5.5.9.0. I think I'll clean the burner, reburn and post my results. Thanks again :)

Hi
I have also seen this problem while installing this on my system.
I reached up to the package bullet section of the installation menu.
Had 3rd CD error message.."unable to parse the cdrom.cz"
They tell me its the 3rd CD not burnt properly.
My next step is to get proper burned CD from the Linux shop and retry again.
Let me know if you had resolved this.
Thanks

I saw that error once and I wiped the peanut butter smudges off the cd and it worked fine hehe.
