I am running Debian (sid) and I have never tried using any vga apps until now, so I am pretty green in this are.

The other day I compiled xmame.svga and well it doesn't work :) Im not sure what else to say. When I run "xmame.svga frogger" from X11 I get this

loading rom 0: frogger.26
etc etc etc.....
done
OSD: Info: Ideal mode for this game = 453x224
Svgalib: Info: Found videomode 320x200x32768
lots of these .....
Svgalib: Info: Choose videomode 320x240x65536
You must be the owner of the current console to use svgalib.
Not running in a graphics capable console,
and unable to find one

but if I run it from a vga console (ctrl, alt F1)
I get this, after all the mode lines

Using RIVA driver, 16384KB, Type:nv10, GeForce.
svgalib 1.4.3

But xmame never starts. It must be a svga problem since I can rum xmame.x11 and xmame.SDL

Anyone out there with a bit more experience then me?
