Setting up FAX

I am running Mandrake 8 and prefer Gnome. I have a 3COM modem card, which works. I would like to send faxes from StarOffice, but I am unclear what software I need to install. I am just asking in general terms. It seems to me I need something like Hylafax or efax and then a frontend gnome application such as GFax. Is that correct? What's recommended?

I use efax since it is dead easy to use.

I can fax directly from staroffice(5.1). There's a fax button on my toolbar. I just click this, enter the fax number and off it goes.

The efax command I use is

fax send (PHONE) (TMP)

where the last two parameters are supplied by SOffice.

I think you have to add the "print default fax" button to your toolbar.

Works well for me anyway.
