Does anyone know of a good inexpensive an easy to install hit counter for a website? I don't have too much experience in the html area. Also what is a good linux html editor/ software.

I'm assuming that you are not talking about invoking the
pagecount program in Linux.

Here it is

There are many websites that offer to do that for free.

http://ultimatecounter.com/
http://www.gostats.com

Those are just a couple.

Writing HTML doesn't require a good text editor or software, unless you are a beginner HTMLer and need a program to hold your hand.

I've made and seen a lot of aweseome websites made with Notepad.

:)

BTW, I don't think this was the right place to post this thread :p

Are you comfortable with hand editing html?
If yes, I recommend Vim. But the problem is it is not a WYSIWYG
html editor :D

thanks mingshun after reading the instructions on their websites, Some of them recommend not using a WYSIWYG editor to insert the code, because those have a tendancy to throw in their own "corrections".

thanks for the help
