wont let me login to X as root

i cant login to gnome or kde as root anymore. I was messing with Bastille and i think i must have changed it in there but i cant seem to get it back the way it was by rerunning it
plus all my file permisions are set high and for now i need them low again, cause its drivin me nuts and i cant even see use the flash plugin on netscape, for instance....

does this all have something to do with security level 1-5? im just guessing... how do i change things back from the CL?

i guess what i wanna do is tottally return to the defualts, but how?

Why not use "su" on the command line to return to root and then fix it from there?
