I don't really want to do it this way as I know the performance is pretty weak, but...
If I want to play with linux (namely, redhat 7.1) at work, I can do nothing to my computer (like split, create, resize partitions) that will change the way it is right now. :(
SO...
What I want to know is, can I do the red hat partitionless install (onto a DOS/FAT partition) onto the same partition that has windows98 on it? So, can I install redhat 7.1 on the C drive without affecting windows?
Or do I need to put it on it's own DOS/FAT partition?
Thanks in advance, gang.
(By the way, at home, I use Debian only. It's the greatest. I'm not even happy about this redhat thing, but it, along with Mandrake and WinLinux, seem to be the only few you can install onto a DOS/FAT partition.)
Have a great weekend!

Redhat 7.1 gives you the option of a 'partitionless' install on a DOS/Windows drive. Check up on it in the RH 7.1 docs for complete info before you just take my word for it :)

Actually, I have the docs in front of me but they don't say you can (or can't, for that matter) put it on the SAME partition as Windows.
I read through all of it and this answer is not provided.
I think I can do it this way but I wanted to make sure I could.
Since there is only one HUGE C partition on this thing (20G), I need to be able to put it on here alongside windows. Again, I don't like my lack of choices but...
Thanks for any help!
