Couple Questions,, help plz!

A couple questions i have. Yes, they are homework, im totally new to this and i missed one class because i wasnt in town yet.
Here's 3 unaswered ones. Help?

1) What is the UID of the First user create using COAS?
2)What Defines where in the file system a new device in mounted?[argh on the tip of my tounge]
3) What daemon starts the Novell network services on your systems?

Thx for any help, its time for a tape recorder in class.

I believe the answer you're looking for on your second question is fstab. That's if it's mounted automatically anyway. I'm not even going to guess on the other questions.

Wait a minute, on the third question, are you talking about in DOS? If so, I believe the answer to that is nwclient. I just had a Novell class last semester after all.

To answer your 3rd question i'm sure under redhat based distros daemon's name was/is mars-nwe and of course you need to have kernel support for netware shares if that helps.

Back to the first one,on mosts systems the userid (UID) starts at 1000 the same is for groupid (gid).The lower uid's/guid's are reserved for system but that's not always the case (my uid/gid is 100).Hope this helps.
