You can use VMware (http://www.vmware.com), but it costs money. :(
Alternatively, you can use wine (http://wine.codeweavers.com), which will allow you to run some Windows programs, including Word and Excel (AFAIR).

The question has to be asked, why do you need to run Windows ME? Most applications have an equivilant for Linux, and you can always dual boot if you have to do something critical in Windows.

I've got Drake 8 dual booted with WinME at home, and when you install the Drake, it sets up /mnt/windows. Also Wine is on the Cds, so you can access & run just about anything on your Windows partition while in Drake. Too easy...
