OK..I realise that NOT making a boot disk was stupid, but I didn't!

I just formatted my C: on Win98 because my new mainboard wasn't recognising my CDROM...anyways...now on Boot up it fails to ask me weather or not I want to Boot into Linux or Windows and boots Win only. So my question is this, how do I delete the Partion and get Win to see my slave drive? I am using Linux-Mandrake 7.1, and have all the CDs....there must be a way...help me please

Thanks

Are you asking how to boot your linux installation, acces the information the drive, or remove the linux installation?

There various ways you cn get in from loadlin, recovery disks made on another Linux box, boot to the install CD and type rescue, or just reinstall Linux.

There is a program that lets you access ext2 partions in Windows; it is called explore2fs.

There are also several ways to remove a linux partion, though I hope this is not the case. Your HDD manufacturer will have a utility that will write zeros across the drive, destroying all data and partion information, effectively deleteing the partions. Some third party utilities like Partion Magic or Norton Utilities can delete the partions. You can also boot to the install CD and use the partioning part, DiskDrake, to remove the partions; then after the new partion table has been written, turn off the computer. hopefully one of these answers will help you out.
