Hi,
I worked last night with a lot of help and got the internet connection sharing working. It was a beautiful thing. My wife and daughter's pcs were able to surf the web at the same time i was. Then my wife wanted to know how she could get on the web if i'm not home.I told her just come to my pc, open a terminal and type pon (isp). She looked at me as if I had more than one head (too difficult?).
Is there a way that she could click an icon somewhere in windows and through the network that would somehow initiate dialup on my debian gateway?
We've used Sygate on my windpartition. With Sygate, if i'm not online, they click on an icon on their taskbar and dialup begins on my win machine. I'd like to give her that functionality again.
Thanks for your help.

im no deb guru but you can get dial on demand apps which detect an internet request and get s you on the net.

you could create a script called internet or something simple like that so if she does conect to your deb box she types in the command and hey presto shes on the net

explain to her is a "windows shortcut"!!!
