I have just Installed Red Hat 7.3 duel booting with Windows ME on the client PC in my network and cannot get Red Hat to connect to the internet but its no problem in Windows, In Windows its no problem internet connection sharing with the main PC with the cable Modem but I cannot get the same results in Red Hat, In Red Hat the network card is found but listed as inactive so I follow the instructions in the user guide which says this is normal and you need to activate it, but when I click the activate button I get an error message saying "Unable to activate etho" have also set it up for DHCP but still no luck so any help on how to activate my network card and get on line would be most appreciated.
Thanks

What make / model NIC is in your client machine? Is it not up at all or can you just not get out to the internet? Can you ping your loopback?
Couple of questions to get the troubleshooting started.

Please do not crosspost your questions. Once is enough in the appropriate forum.
It's not really fair to others that only get one chance.
Thank-you for understanding.

Shouldn't that be three? General, Software and Technical though you have deleted the one in General.

Just proves the point that crossposting is not necessary.
We can see ALL the posts in ALL the forums.
Have a nice day. :)

Use linuxconf (in your 2nd disc I guess) and
in the Basic Networking Client section, tick
dhcp and choose eth0 for the device.
Type this on the command prompt:
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart
And see if eth0 is up.
