Hi, I'm a total newbie on Linux.
The other night i installed Red Hat 7.1 .
I'm proud of that!, i did it on text mode qith any problems, and now i have dual boot!
First timE !
Well back to the topic subject.
SO now I'm looking for a good book. to strt learing. The only thing i know is "startx". Ha! oh well
So i found this one "Red Hat Linux 7.1 Bible : Unlimited Edition" . Is good for a newbie?, there are better ones ?
I guess a book is the best way.

"Red Hat Linux Weekend Crash Course by Naba Barkakati". This book is small and I found that the smaller books for newbies had better "newbized" explanations of how and why things worked. I think this would help you out a lot, plus it's easy to read. Once you get the hang of it all I would then say get one of those bigger books like "The Linux Bible". Hope this helps D|s

I have a book called Linux Essential Reference. It's a handy book which will get you knowing more than just 'startx' :) http://www.newriders.com

A good book for any Linux advocate would be Running Linux published by O'reilly.
