Software IDE RAID ???

Software RAID with two IDE disks? How fast CPU does it require so that the performance would be reasonable?

Anything in the Software-Raid Howto about it? Saw quite a few how-to's on the subject at linuxdoc.org.

Know nothing about it myself, except for Hardware Raid.

I have tried it on both a K6-233 and a PII500 and it worked pretty damm great with both systems.Its probably not as fast as a ide raid controller but you would need a benchmark program to test that because under normal use I dont think it would make that much difference.The howto at linuxdoc will get you through it.Its was a nice experiment,I dont use it anymore.

I've checked quite a few howto's and found something about performance but not software IDE. Well, guess it can't be so bad on P233... at least I can give it a try.
