Hi,
I have IBM THINKPAD 600 and I recently installed Corel Linux successfully.I wanted to connect to internet but the OS didnt detect my internal modem which was working fine on Win 98.(I ONLY HAVE COREL LINUX INSTALLED NOW). I have tried out options of specifying diff ports as it was given in manual.

Can someone help me on this.

Thanks in advance. Please forward any links if u know.

If it's an internal modem you'll need to load a driver first.

A google search turned up the following:

MWave Driver: http://www-124.ibm.com/acpmodem/

You may also like to upgrade to a new distro than Corel Linux, which is ancient. Corel is based on Debian - if you want another easy to install Debian based distro, try Libranet (http://www.libranet.com).

See the Linux for Laptops - IBM (http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/ibm.html) page for lots of Thinkpad 600 help.
