xwindow error

hi it is so simple I can not start x window an error message occurs is it because of video card and the version of xfree? mine is nvdia geforce2

Have you run XF86Config yet? Have a look in your /etc/X11/XF86Config[-4] for nv driver. That is what needs to be loaded. Alternatively, you can get the updated drivers from nvidia.com and have much better performance. It's easy to set up.
