What is a good cheap (if not free) ISP that is Linux compatible? How much does it cost and what are some problems people have had with it?

MandK_10 08-02-2001, 10:56 PM I use the same ISP for windows and Linux. It is a local job. I pay $16 a month. Do you need a special ISP for a linux box? I don't think so. Mike dvdnut 08-03-2001, 06:49 AM all's you need is the authentication type (pap or chap) the dns settings, ip if they assign a static one pop number and username/password and you are sorted TeRG 08-05-2001, 07:49 PM Will somthing cheap like Bluelight work? nomowindo 08-07-2001, 10:09 PM I'm looking to change ISP's too. My Earthlink connection is about to stop functioning all together. Sprint's too lazy to get out and check their phone lines I guess. Anyway there use to be some Linux sites that had lists of Linux friendly ISP's. If anybody knows where they are please let us know! Thanks in advance. justlinux.com
