I have searched google.com/linux and the forums and can't find a sollution to the following:
I tried compiling Wine from source and ran everything it says, like ./configure, make depend, and make. At the end of make is says "Assembler compile error" and leaves the directories and stops. I don't think it gets fully installed. I added Wine to my path and when I do
wine setup.exe
It says "Could not locate Wine source tree" ... any ideas? I am downloading the RPM (running Mandrake 8.2) as we speak and am going to try that.

Hey guy,

Just try the RPM, it's workin' a lot better for me. =) Got a little bit further, despite that I'm havin' a little bit of trouble with Trillian and Grokster (The main two programs I wanna use), but I think that's just something simple I haven't figured out as of yet.

Unless anyone knows.

Just use your command lines for example, and make sure it's in the same directory.

"wine grokstersetup.exe" That's all you have to do.

Should do the rest.
