Quake3 framerates

Hello all.

I'm curious to know what sort of framerates people are getting in Quake3, especially those who have both Linux and Windoze installations on the same machine.

I have a LFS install with the latest XFree86, and have got my Voodoo3 3000 working with DRI. My machine is a Celery 400 clocked at 450, with 96Mb sdram.

I'm getting about 60 FPS with the same configuration that I use in Windoze on demo002.dem (Quake 1.17). In Windoze, with the latest 3dfx drivers, I get about 80 FPS.

To be honest I was quite surprised. I didn't expect it to be that good. Now I'm wondering just how good that is, compared to what other people are getting, relative to system specs of course.

Any offers?

Slack 7.1, mesa from the id point release, X 3.3.5

55fps on demo001 with a tweaked config, either win95 or linux. I've never run demo002 (but I will tonite and tell you results).

I've got the demo, what's the easiest way of getting the framerates (because mine is fairly smooth for my setup).
