Taking an example from Micr0$0ft marketing and current trends in US laws; GM has anounced a new concept in car sales:

Vehicles will no longer be sold, but customers will be able to lease a vehicle for a small initial fee and a per-use charge. Also, a "per-seat" policy will require an extra fee to be assessed for each person riding in the vehicle. Note, allowing a family member or friend to use the vehicle without express written permission from GM will be strictly forbidden.

Other US car makers plan to unveil similar plans.

Don't forget that the bonnet will be locked down, GM will have the key, and no-one but the authorised mechanics will be able to look at it, although you may have to wait for a couple of months while they check it is actually a problem.

;) Also, to make right turns, you'll have to upgrade to Steering Wheel 2.0.

... and whenever you add bolt-ons like intake, exhaust, headers... and then a supercharger or new fuel injector and a Nos kit, you have to re-register with GM because they think you are trying to use someone else's car.
