I know there has to be one out there...
what's a Windows to Linux software translation? It's Basically a list of programs in this kind of format:
Windows: Winamp
Linux Equivalent: Xmms
Windows: Adobe Photo Shop/PSP/other advanced image manipulation programs
Linux: Gimp
Why I need such information? Is rather obvious for anyone who's migrating from windows, isn't it? And if a single page had all that info, it'd be quicker than having to search one by one the equivalents.
In case ya are wondering, I am currently looking for the Linux equivalent of Go!zilla, GetRight and DAP, I need a downloader manager that resumes downloads.

http://********linuxonline.com/help/survival/softcheck.htm has some basic stuff. If you need a download manager use D4X or prozilla with prozgui frontend (might only need prozgui).

Well, it might not be THE Windows to Linux Software translation homepage, but it helps. It would be nice to have a site like that.. would help convince people to try Linux by telling them they can still do what they like doing, but cheaper (altough I guess that's not an issue with all those guys who just get cracked versions of their programs). Thanks for the info, I am gonna go check those download managers now (along with the other hundred things I need to get done)
