I've setup a Linux test domain (linux.mycompany.ie) with two RedHat 7.2 Servers and an NT Server acting as a router to the rest of the network. One Linux Server (Red1) is acting as a DNS server for the domain (I can ping DNS names in mycompany.ie using a forwarder entry in my DNS tables but I'm behind a firewall so I can resolve DNS names on the Internet) and the other (Red2) is a email server using IMAP, it's centralised and masquerading is working just fine. I can email from accounts within the linux.mycompany.ie domain no problem however...
I'm having two questions/issues with Sendmail:
1. Whenever I try replying to email send from any email account on linux.mycompany.com the email appears as lyanthony@'linux.mycompany.com', which obviously won't work. I've tried it on a number of email clients, Mozilla, Kmail, Outlook Express but the result is the same. When I remove them and send the reply it works fine. Why is it adding the two apostrophes? Where do I go to change this? (I've only amended the sendmail.mc file to get mail running.)
2. I want to relay messages to and from email accounts in mycompany.ie which runs on an Exchange 5.5 server, what is the easiest way to do this?
Thanks in advance for any help,
A.

Just in case you don't read your crosspost of this question since you denied this one being here, please do not crosspost.
We can see ALL the posts in ALL the forums and it's not really fair to others that just get one chance while you get may.
Thank-you for understanding.

Normally I just ignore crossposts, but I have thought about giving terrible info to them.

Sorry about the crossposting thing, I didn't know there were any rules to posting stuff to newsgroups bar making sure not to use swear words. I didn't realise people were so sensitive on these newsgroups. I hope I didn't hurt your feelings TOO much. I mean how insensitive of me, WHAT WAS I THINGING! *sob* I just needed to get my questions answered by someone how might have some knowledge on the subject of sendmail and look at what I DID I posted the same question on TWO forums... what a terrible crime! I deserve the death penalty for that! ( I believe that's how you deal with offenders like me over there! ) It's the beginning of the end, governments will fall, the four horsemen of the Apocalypse will ride over yonder hill and kick the living sh.... etc. etc.
----------------------------------------
Don't worry about it lads, I'll get the answers I need from somewhere else! OK?
Ok.
Now go outside, take a deep breath, get some fresh air and think about what exactly you've accomplised by posting those answers back to this forum... and you'll realise the answer is 'not much'...

Take a few moments to think about it.
What would happen if EVERYONE crossposted their questions?
All the good people here that volunteer many hours a day of their own time would have a he11 of a time sorting through the mess plus all the extra time we would have to spend going back and forth and back and forth to see what others have already suggested in the other crossposted threads.
We (especially myself) try to ensure this will never happen, so we make it known to LNO members that crossposting will not be tolerated.
I'm not worried about you finding answers somewhere else. In fact I would prefer it if you did.
Have a nice day and grow up.

You're like a dog with a bone, you just won't let go will you? I've already explained myself regarding the crossposting! And I've already apologised to the nice people who administer this site.
Too bad you didn't expend as much energy answering the questions as you have trying to be witty. You replied to both posts for goodness sake!!!
I'm finishing this conversation now! It's wasting my time and probably yours too.
