I want to add a sound card to my linux box. It's running debian and uses an Intel 440FX motherboard. I'd like to know what I'll have to do to get the card set up and which card I should get. Would it be too hard to set up an SB Live?

Also, I have a much more important networking question in the Network forum. If anyone has experience wit Samba I'd appreciate it if you could take a look.

Thanks in advance.

SBlive support is excellent under linux, in fact its supported natively in the 2.2.17 kernels and beyond
