Mandrake mount points

I am a Red Hat user and going to give Mandrake a try. Are the mount points the same? Do I just install over the old partitions?

Yes -- your old mount points should work well. Of course if you want to keep the data that's on those partitions, that's another story... you don't want Mandrake trying to use redhat packages, for instance.
